Panasonic has proudly announced about its marvel in the field of wireless communication. The introduction of Panasonic chipset for multi-gigabit millimeter wireless communication is said to consume less than One-Watt of power.
The power efficiency of the chipset is based on a baseband processing architecture. This technology will promote stable interaction between WiGig Alliance supported devices. It can be easily used and embedded in mobile phones and smartphones using less than One-Watt of power. It will enable the phones to transfer 30 minutes long compressed video content to mobile services within 10 seconds.
The chipset can be employed to achieve lower power consumption and better coordination between general-purpose motors and additional high-speed control circuits. This will lower the frequency of processor clock and thus reduce the power consumption.
The chipset is small in size and supports 9GHz bandwith. It also consists of 60GHz transceiver LSI with the ability to process Media Access Control(MAC) packet.
