Panasonic Corporation of North America has made two new appointments. The company announced that it has appointed Tom Gebhardt as the president of Peachtree City, GA-based Panasonic Automotive Systems Company of America whereas M. Faisal Pandit has been made president of Rolling Meadows, IL-based Panasonic Factory Solutions Company of America.
Mr. Pandit is a successor to Mr.Gebhardt who had been shouldering the dual responsibility of both the president of Panasonic Factory Solutions Company of America and Panasonic Industrial Company. The two have been asked to take office from January 1, 2012.
Mr.Gebhardt has the credentials to assume the leadership of Panasonic Automotive Systems Company of America as he has done his graduation from Northern Illinois University and is an alumnus of Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Panasonic Automotive Systems Company of America is a supplier of systems and components to the North American automotive industry.
Mr. Pandit, on the other hand, has been associated with Panasonic for the last 20 years. He had been serving as Director of Solutions and will now lead Panasonic Factory Solutions Company of America. The latter is a supplier of electronic assembly equipment and a provider of software as well as technical support. The company provides electronic semiconductor and packaging companies with total business systems solutions globally. Panasonic Factory Solutions is also renowned as a key supplier of robotic and manual arc welding equipment wherein its clientele comprises distributors, system integrators and end users.
Mr. Pandit too is extremely well-qualified with a BS from the University of Illinois, an MS from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and he attended the same B School that Mr.Gebhardt went to.
