Ed Begley, an actor and a famous environmentalist, and his representatives have been signed up by Panasonic. An agreement has already been inked and according to it, Mr. Begley will appear in print as well as online campaigns to support the marketing of Panasonic HIT solar panels.
According to President of Panasonic Eco Solutions North America, Jim Doyle, "Panasonic is pleased to have earned the respect and endorsement of Ed Begley Jr. for Panasonic HIT solar panels. Ed will be a recognizable and trusted voice to the customer about how they can help the environment by installing solar panels."
HIT solar panels, which were first developed by Sanyo Electric, are now rebranded as Panasonic HIT solar panels after Panasonic's acquisition of Sanyo last year. HIT (heterojunction with intrinsic thin-layer) solar panels will help Panasonic in generating electricity through solar energy. Panasonic has always strived toward becoming a fully green and an innovative company and by using HIT solar panels, the company has shown its commitment towards its goal.
Mr. Begley also commented on the agreement with Panasonic saying, “This agreement will help me reach customers and educate the public on the benefits of going solar. It has always been my mission to help people make greener lifestyle choices, and consequently create a brighter, healthier future for all of us.”
Panasonic Corporation, which is headquartered in Osaka, Japan, will be celebrating its 100th anniversary in the year 2018. The company announced that it plans to be ranked first as the “Green Innovation company in the electronics industry” by 2018 and added that Mr. Begley will help them achieve the goal.
